Icebreakers (2025)

Nino is bored: his world has been the same for a long time. Same neighbors, same view. Nothing changes, everything seems frozen. Until one day, when his neighbourhood suddenly starts crumbling and takes him on an unforgettable journey. What is really happening?

Content

This children’s book tells the story of a molecule of water being bored because it is trapped into its crystal structure, wishing that something finally happens. When suddenly its world cracks and everything crumbles, it embarks on a journey where it slides and flies and meets other molecules (experiences phase change). As the story is told from the molecule’s point of view, the science behind the story doesn’t appear at first, letting the reader discover this tiny world without necessarily realizing what it’s really talking about, until the last frames reveal it.

The book also contains two double pages where the science behind the book is explained in more details. We describe what atoms and molecules are and how phase change works. The reader is then invited to re-read the book with this new knowledge and appreciate it with a new eye and new insights, to finally appreciate the whole picture behind the story.

Wander (2022)

This project was submitted to the Silent Book Contest in February 2022. The story starts with a character walking into the forest probably after a day at work, feeling sad. He stumbles across a pond and looks at his reflection. Surprisingly, the latter comes alive and starts running away from him.

Fascinating Birds! (2021/ 2022)

Initially drawn for a challenge on Instagram, these two books (Fascinating Birds! and Fascinating Birds! Vol. 2) each put together 31 illustrations of birds with for each, a small text on what they are and fun facts. Their goal is to appeal the public to discover birds in a fun and colorful way, thinking it would encourage curisity and care for nature.

Perspectives in Foster Care
Development of an illustrated book (2021)

How to make complex subjects such as child protection accessible to a wider audience? This book uses illustration to communicate the emotions of the different people concerned by the child protection system (children, parents, professionals) in order to show their different points of view, their difficulties and their moments of joy, to understand the challenges and importance of this institution.
